Supply Chain and Production Manager

David Olorunleke Jethro holds a bachelor’s certificate in Agriculture with a Second Class Upper (2:1) division from the Ahmadu Bello University of Zaria, Kaduna State, and a Master’s degree in Plant Breeding Department of Agronomy, University of Ibadan. He is an active member of the Plant Breeding Association of Nigeria.

With over Eleven (11) years of cumulative field experience, this includes the production of vegetables, soyabean, and maize seed. He acquired knowledge on crop field management, conventional breeding such as interspecific hybridization of some self-pollinating plants, as well conducting self and cross-pollination in maize seed production.

Diligent in research and development with active involvement in breeder and foundation seed bulking, seed quality, and purity maintenance.

Before joining ECOBasic Seed Company on 1, November 2021 as Supply and Production Manager, David has occupied the position of Seed Production Officer, Seed Technician, Field, and Consultant Agronomist both at local and international companies including Dezurik Farms, Olam Group Company, Corteva agriscience, and Lona Farms.

Highly team-spirited, I have been commended and recommended for diligence, flexibility, and a good level of interpersonal skills. David’s motivations include; learning new things, healthy appetite for science and innovations, paying attention to details and challenges of meeting key objectives.

David is Nigerian by birth.
