Responsibilities
- Manage inbound customer communications – Answer incoming calls and emails to address customer questions, requests and issues.
- Consult on customer success – Advise customers on how to successfully leverage the product/service based on their unique needs.
- The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset and aims to deliver high-quality service in every customer interaction.
- Maintain working product knowledge – Act as a product expert to ensure information given to customers is accurate, up-to-date and strategic.
- Track interactions in CRM – Record customers interactions in internal system for cross-functional awareness and relationship development.
- Assist customers with any queries they may have via calls, email, chat and/or social media
- Represent the brand in a professional and friendly manner
- Empathize with and prioritize customer needs, escalating issues to internal teams as appropriate

Requirements

Seed Production and Processing Officer

A. Field Operations Responsibilities include:
- 1. Recruitment of suitable growers to ensure the implementation of the production plan and produce high quality foundation seeds. - Confirmation of suitable soil types, seed crop isolation, previous crops, irrigation facilities, availability of farm equipment, etc
- 2. Ensure good land preparation practices are implemented before planting of seed crops
- 3. Establish seed crops effectively - check the condition of planting equipment, achieve the correct plant population, follow the recommended planting splits and patterns, place Check fertilizer placement and ensure mix up of seed.
- 4. Register all seed crops with the National Agricultural Seed Council (NASC) for certification purposes.
- 5. Perform good agronomic practices for seed crops such as effective management of weeds, pests and diseases to ensure high quality seed and no rejection by the National Seed Regulator.
- 6. Carry out regular inspections of the seed production fields to check on implementation of good agronomic practices and field seed standards for seed certification purposes.
- 7. Ensure roguing of off types is timely and effectively done by use of descriptors to ensure production of high-quality seeds.
- 8. Strictly monitor detasseling of seed crops to ensure production of high-quality foundation seeds that meet the set standards on genetic purity.
B. Seed Processing and Plant Operations Responsibilities include:
- 14. Receive instructions from the SCOM on when, what & how to process in alignment with seed sales demand from the Commercial department and toll processing from third parties.
- 15. Request financial resources for processing requirements (labour, spare parts, tools & consumables) and retire them on a weekly basis.
- 16. Ensure the seed treatment chemical mixing ratios are properly and uniformly applied to all seed lots
- 17. Request and receive raw seed for processing from stock keeper & stacking and reconcile the processed seed lots together with the stock keeper/warehouse supervisor.
- 18. Manage the seed processing and packing crews to meet the set daily or weekly targets – put up a weekly processing schedule that’s well coordinated.
- 19. Liaise with QA Lead to carry out the physical seed quality defect tests during processing to establish all seed lots of purity levels in percentage form as well as the plant cleaning efficiencies by varieties
- 20. Ensure the plant is cleaned before processing a different variety to avoid seed admixtures – a QA written clearance to be issued to that effect.
- 21. Operate the processing machine efficiently and find ways to continuously improve work processes and capacity.
- 22. Regular servicing and maintenance of the processing plan - working with a regular and part time electrician, welder and mechanic.

Requirements
- BSc degree in relevant Agricultural Science. MSc will be an added advantage.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a seed production role
- Knowledge of seed regulations and certification standards
- Awareness of regional harmonized seed laws and policies
- Computer literacy
- Driving License
- A highly proficient level of written / spoken English.
- Performance and results driven attitude.
- Willingness to work flexibly with respect to starting and finishing times.
- Willingness to travel extensively in the field for crop inspections.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
